More cement inspiration

1 The cement-and-glass basin in Johan and Rika van Zyl’s home in Bloemfontein is a showstopper! It consists of a concrete lintel in front and an iron frame at the back. A concrete slab was laid at a slight angle and then covered with a piece of glass. The water flows over the glass into a trough and from there into the outlet pipe.

The vanity was painted in Coprox Masonry Waterproofing in the colour Light Grey and then sealed with Coprox Wall & Floor Clear Sealer.

2 Cemcrete products are bang on-trend, as in this Sandton bathroom. Cement is a great alternative to tiles; it’s smooth to the touch and easy to keep clean.

3 This seamless basin was precast by Vibraneat, then placed on low brick walls and set in cement. The walls above the basin were left unfinished – combined with the simple copper spout and matching copper taps they lend an industrial feel to the space. The golden framed mirror, cosmetic mirror, tray and soap dish all add a touch of elegance. >>
