1 Apply 3 coats of Cloud White to the entire cupboard. Using the 38mm Hamilton’s Ensign brush, paint those nooks and crannies that the roller can’t get to, then use the 110mm sponge roller to apply paint to the larger flat surfaces. IMPORTANT Give each coat 20–40 minutes to dry completely before applying the next layer.

2 Wet the first kitchen sponge with water and squeeze out the excess moisture. Using a brush, apply Thinus’s Terracotta to one half of the sponge, then rub the paint on from the bottom of the door upwards. For this even colour-wash technique, you use the clean half of the sponge to lighten the application from the bottom to the top. Now apply Cloud White to one half of the other sponge and use this to evenly shade the transition from the Thinus’s Terracotta to Cloud White. Rub over the areas where the Cloud White and Thinus’s Terracotta meet until one colour merges seamlessly into the other one. Repeat with the other door. The colour-wash technique was also applied from left to right on the drawer with Thinus’s Terracotta. 3 Paint four of the embellishments in Cloud White. Paint the other four embellishments first in Thinus’s Terracotta, then wait until the paint has dried before painting Cloud White lightly on the raised areas. While the paint is still wet, rub the top with a wet sponge to create a two-tone effect.

To finish Wait until the embellishments are completely dry then use the super glue to stick the four white ones to the top corners of the doors and the other four to the bottom corners.
