Main alterations

low roof was demolished as it made the space feel small, dark and cramped.

Three layers of tiles were removed, the entire surface dug up and proper drainage installed. Grey granite tiles were then laid.

Built-in cement benches with rotten wooden seats, the Roman pillars and Zeus the statue were all demolished. The jacuzzi had to be removed with a hoist!

A new braai was built with a small work surface and prep sink.

The pool was refurbished and a heating system installed. A new wooden roof with ventilation was installed to keep the area cool and greenery was added with plants in large pots. Finally, the walls were painted.
