They retained most of the lower cupboard carcasses; Duanne re-used some of the top cupboard carcasses to make additional lower cupboards and drawers for the new island. “We didn’t like the idea of having high cupboards; they can be difficult to reach and make for easy hoarding spaces!” says Esté.
