Before the renovation, the kitchen was a separate room right next to the dining area. Luckily, both spaces had the same bay windows, so when the wall came down there was lovely symmetry.

The tiles in the dining area were lifted and then the entire floor was screeded. New plumbing was also installed.
To make up for the lost cupboard space once the dividing wall came down, storage was created on both sides of the large island. New downlights and birch plywood kickplates were fitted.
