Visit our show garden at the Garden World Spring Festival!
Reconnecting with nature is the theme of Home’s show garden at this year’s Garden World Spring Festival in Muldersdrift, Johannesburg. Entitled ‘Nature’s Perfection’, the garden was inspired and implemented by the Garden World team and the final plan was designed by Grant Gove of GLC Design Studio in Johannesburg. “Gardens should have the feeling of wild places,” the team says. “In this garden, we wanted to create a subtle old-world sense of place; somewhere to sit and dream.”
In Home’s show garden, the eye is drawn to the circular rock moon gate flanked by a stone wall. Set in a glade of trees, ferns sprout in the nooks and crannies and an array of greens soften the stone. Flowers in muted shades enhance the dreamlike feel of being at one with nature while the sound of water falling into a rock pool adds to the serenity.
