JJ’s garden solutions
I want a cutting!
Deidre Johnson of Kuils River writes While visiting family recently, I fell in love with this impressive plant in the garden. What type of philodendron is it and how can I take cuttings?
JJ replies It looks like a regular Philodendron selloum. You can cut the stem into pieces about 150mm in length and plant them. First trim off all the long aerial roots, as they will get in the way. Then place the stem pieces on their sides and cover them halfway with soil.
