Protect the blades of your kitchen knives with this handy knife block.
You will need
• 18mm plywood, cut to: one 320mm x 280mm board two 150mm x 75mm brackets
• drill and 35mm hinge boring bit
• eight 30mm circular magnets
• Alcolin Fix-All
• jigsaw
• 120-grit sandpaper
1 Measure and mark the position of the knives, making lines on the back of the board.
2 Bore two circular recesses on each line for the magnets then cut two grooves (40mm x 18mm) in the bottom edge of the board, 50mm in from each side.
3 Glue the magnets in the holes with Alcolin Fix-All.
4 Cut a 40mm x 18mm groove in the middle of each bracket. Sand the wood smooth before placing your knives on the block.
