3 Once the ce­ment was dry, we painstak­ingly cut and laid the ar­ti­fi­cial grass. Be­fore cut­ting the pieces, make sure the grass ‘pile’ lies in the same di­rec­tion so that it looks as nat­u­ral and neat as pos­si­ble. The grass was then glued to the ce­ment in-be­tween the pavers with Al­colin Con­tact Ad­he­sive, which is heat- and mois­ture-re­sis­tant.

Ap­ply the glue to the ce­ment, then po­si­tion the grass strips and press them down be­fore the glue hard­ens. Re­move any glue that lands on the ce­ment pavers straight away as it’s dif­fi­cult to re­move af­ter­wards. We had to re­sort to thin­ners and steel wool!
