Maidenhair fern
Maidenhair fern (Adiantum raddianum) is the perfect plant for the bathroom or shower because it thrives in a humid environment. Grow it in a hanging basket so that it catches the rising steam and humidity, and receives plenty of good indirect light. Maidenhair ferns drop their foliage if the atmosphere becomes too dry. A good idea is to stand a container of water near the plant if it is grown on the patio or elsewhere indoors. A monthly liquid fertiliser will keep the foliage in shape, and don’t be in a hurry to repot, this fern likes its roots tightly packed together.
