My favourite flower? Anything blue! – Petra

A Japanese flowering crab apple (Malus floribunda) that blooms in spring is planted in the large flowerbed.

The street outside Petra’s house is lined with trees; in early summer, her pathways are covered in a blaze of purple blooms from the jacarandas on the pavement.
