CREATE ZONES

• The lounge adjoins the dining room in an open-plan design; two steps separate the spaces. The kitchen is separate, with a door leading from the dining room.

• A fairly large group of people can comfortably gather in the dining and lounge area without the activities feeling disjointed. Both rooms lead out to the garden, so the couple can entertain both indoors and outdoors during the Johannesburg summers.

• Since the space is long, two seating areas were set up. The chairs and ottoman in the middle can easily be moved to accommodate more people.
