[ LONG-LASTING BLOOMS]

Cut flowers last longer in a mixture of bleach (this kills all the organisms), lemon juice (which lowers the pH so that no organisms will grow) and sugar (an additional source of food for the flowers).

You will need

• 1L water

• 2 tablespoons (30ml) lemon juice

• 1 tablespoon sugar • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) bleach

Method

Mix everything well in a vase until the sugar has dissolved. If you have a large vase, double the recipe.
