TANJA AND BRUCE’S TIPS FOR A HOLIDAY HOME]

-

• Invest in a good waterproof cover for soft furnishings left outdoors.

• We had all the beds upholstered in a practical grey vinyl; this way, you don’t have to fuss with night frills and any scuffs can be wiped off.

• An ice-maker and dishwasher are a must, especially if you have teenagers.

• You don’t have to buy new furniture. Have a look at what you’ve got and what you can paint or upcycle to suit your purposes. We also bought second-hand items on Facebook Marketplace.

• If you often host a crowd, as we do, then benches are more practical than chairs as you can always squeeze another person in.

• Hides and grass mats offer a practical way to add interest and a soft touch to floors.
