Piping bag tips

Place the piping bag in a glass measuring jug or flask with the tip facing down and the top folded over the edge so that you can fill it easily. Spoon the icing sugar into the bag, squeeze out the air and twist the top of the bag tightly before you start piping the spirals; this gives you better control. Always hold the bag with your writing hand at the top as you press and hold the bottom end with your other hand.
