Upfront, the couple devised a master plan with Saskia and Matthew that maps out a holistic view of how they’d like to live going forward.

“The current layout was tweaked to ensure that those things we want to add later can be easily accommodated without having to undo anything,” says Casey. Armed with a plan for the various additions they’d like to incorporate such as a garage, a proper entrance hall with a boot room, a studio and a guest flat, they can tackle the various projects as and when their budget allows.

“We love what we’ve created,” says Francien. “A simple home uniquely suited to us as a family.”
