Nuy Winery clinched a gold medal for their
Nuy Mastery Sauvignon Blanc 2021 (R120, nuywinery.co.za) at the 2021 Veritas Awards.
The team followed a different route to the traditional winemaking process: the Sauvignon Blanc juice was frozen for three months at -15°C. After defrosting, the wine fermented as per normal. The three-month period the wine spent at this low temperature adds to its complexity. Try it!
