Statement tiles

White Kit Kat (also known as finger) tiles were the logical choice for the walls as they are bang on-trend. To add an element of surprise, Bronwyn opted for black grout instead of white – this further accentuates the Kit Kat effect. To create a cohesive look, all the taps and fittings are black too.

“When we selected the tiles, I was looking for something with texture for the walls and the black grout definitely does the trick,” says Bronwyn.

For the floor, the couple opted for small 10 x 10cm green tiles.

“The tiles have a slight grit for added texture and they’re non-slip, which is ideal as the floor runs into the shower. I prefer smaller tiles as I don’t like how bigger tiles need to be cut to fit.

“I love our new bathroom as I finally have my own haven to escape to – no more sharing! The shower is lovely, and it feels as if we are showering outdoors.”
