TJHOKO CHAMPS 2022!

ENTER NOW – AND SHOW US YOUR SKILLS WITH A BRUSH...

-

Focal walls, furniture or gifts for friends and family... Show off your creativity in the Tuis|Home annual Tjhoko Champs competition in partnership with Tjhoko Paint.

And best of all? This year’s contestants will all be eligible to contribute to our annual paint guide, Home Paint It, which will feature selected entries. How cool is that?

And what could be better than having the fantastic range of Tjhoko Paint products – and colours – from which to choose to make your dream project a reality?

Come on – it’s time to get creative!

HOW TO ENTER

• Once again, you can enter your project at paintit.tuis.co.za.

• Upload a ‘before’ and ‘after’ photo of your handiwork, as well as step-by-step pics of your process; these are not essential but they will give your entry a boost.

• Make sure you fill in all the required fields on the website – names of paint colours and products you used, and of course your own details.

• Entries open on Friday 26 August and close on Monday 5 December.

• Anyone can enter and you can send as many entries as you wish.

Follow these steps:

1 Beautify something with Tjhoko Paint. It can be an existing project or a new one, but not one you have entered previously. Make sure you take a ‘before’ picture!

2 Take a photo of your completed project (see our tips in the box above) and upload it, together with the ‘before’ photo, to paintit.tuis.co.za.

3 If you have taken step-by-step photographs, upload them too; these will not be visible to the public, only the judges will see them.

4 Click on “submit” and there you have it: now you can savour the fact that all the other chalk paint enthusiasts will be able to view your handiwork.

HOW TO TAKE PICS

• If you have a camera, use that, but pics taken on a quality cell phone are good enough. Pics must be at least 2MB in size. • Take your photos from as wide an angle as possible so that your entire project can be seen – stand back rather than too close when taking your photographs. • Remember: pics taken in natural light (in other words, not at night in a dark garage with one dim overhead light) are preferable. And if you want to style the pic a bit, so much the better.

• Keep the background of your ‘after’ photo as uncluttered as possible so we can clearly see your handiwork.
