Heidi grew up in the United Kingdom and never realised that so many of the plants growing in gardens there were of South African origin.

And now she grows them with great success in her own garden! She bought many of the plants at the Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden just outside Worcester. The indigenous bulbs come from specialist nurseries such as Cape Seed and Bulb and The SA Bulb Company.
