Wooden touches appear in the Tom and Jerry barstools by Ger­man de­signer Kon­stantin Gr­cic for Magis (mag­is­de­sign.com) as well as in the bam­boo doors of the kitchen cup­boards and counter, upon which stands an alu­minium Tolomeo ta­ble lamp by Ital­ian de­signer and ar­chi­tect Michele De Luc­chi and Ital­ian de­signer Gian­carlo Fassina for Artemide; out­side, Ja­panese de­signer Toku­jin Yosh­ioka’s Tokyo-Pop daybed for Dri­ade (dri­ade.com) and a Bloom flow­er­pot by Dutch de­signer Rob Slewe that is some­times used as an ice bucket when en­ter­tain­ing or as an ad­di­tional light source, bring a con­tem­po­rary aes­thetic to the ru­ral set­ting; a whim­si­cal ceramic hand given to Harry and Steyn by a friend in San Francisco, Cal­i­for­nia, holds dried pro­teas from the farm.
