- Khanyi's Chicken - Dessert

Khanyi's Chicken

Ingredient­s:

- Chicken pieces ( 8) - Robertson’s Chicken spice - Salt

- Sweet chilli sauce - Cooking Oil

Method:

Pre- heat the oven at 150 degrees Celsius. Place your chicken in a mixing bowl to spice. Drizzle a bit of cooking oil on your chicken so that it won't dry.

Season the chicken with salt, chicken spice and a bit of sweet chilli sauce, which balances the flavors of the salt and spice.

Place the spiced chicken in a baking tray or casserole dish and place in oven.

Bake at 180 degrees for a duration of 45 minutes.

If you so wish, you can put in your vegetables whilst baking for delicious roasted veggies with your meal.

Serving suggestion­s:

Serves 8

Serve the baked chicken with desired vegetables.

Dessert

Ingredient­s:

- 500g Snowflake muffin mix ( desired flavor) - 2 large eggs

- ½ cup of cooking oil

- 200 ml cold water

- Custard/ Cream/ Ice Cream

Method:

Pre- heat the oven at 150 degrees Celsius. Pour dry mixture into mixing bowl.

Mix the oil, water and eggs and pour into the dry mixture.

Mix the contents well together and pour into casserole dish.

Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius, then increase the temperatur­e to 180 degrees for the last 15 minutes.

DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN AT ANY TIME BEFORE THE 30 MINUTES

After baking, take a knife or sharp object and pierce the cake to check if it's well baked inside.

If the sharp object still has dough, you can increase the baking time by 10 more minutes. Baking time: 30 minutes

Serving suggestion­s:

Take dish out of oven and allow to cool before serving.

Cut into squares and place in serving dessert dish and serve with custard, cream or ice cream.
