- Macaroni Bake - Cookies

Quick and Easy Cookies

Preparatio­n time: 10 mins Cook time : 15- 18 mins Serving : 15- 20 biscuits

INGREDIENT­S

1 cup butter/ margarine. Must be soft.

2 cups self- raising flour

½ cup soft sugar/ castor sugar

Pre- heat your oven to 180°.

In a mixing bowl, pour castor sugar and mix with the soft butter.

Using your hands mix the two together to make a soft buttery paste.

Using a sifter, sift the flour into the mix. Continue to use your hands to fold flour in. Mix the dough until it is soft in your hand. Prepare a baking tray and place a baking sheet.

Rollout the dough on a flat surface sprinkled with flour. You may also use the castor sugar.

Your roller must also be brushed with flour so that it does not stick to the dough. Once flattened, cut the dough into desired cookie shapes.

If you don’t have cookie cutters you may use a glass.

Dust a little flour on the cutter so it does not stick.

Place your cut cookie dough on the baking sheet.

Place in oven and cook until golden. Remove from oven and allow to cool on a rack.

You may then place the cookies in a sealable container.

You may enjoy with some tea or coffee. A nice treat for the many visitors to walk through your door this Christmas.
