Hello, and welcome aboard this FlySafair flight. I’m so glad that you are giving us the opportunity to share our passion for flying with you.
Earlier this year we announced that we’d been ranked the Best Airline in Africa and the Indian Ocean in the 2018TripAdvisorTravellers’ Choice awards, along with receiving the Best Economy Class award for the same region.This is something I’m very proud of, especially as this award is a reflection of what our passengers feel about us.
The awards, which highlight the world’s top carriers, are based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for airlines worldwide gathered over a 12-month period. FlySafair scored high review ratings across all categories, and scored particularly high marks under “Value for Money” and “Cleanliness”.
In honour of this recent accolade, one of our aircraft, ZS-OAF, is sporting a brand-new livery. The new livery carries the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice badge on its flanks, and the nose has been decorated with hearts.
This aircraft is one of five aircraft that have commemorative liveries. The other four are: ZS-OAG with livery to celebrate our partnership with First Car Rental; and ZS-SJR, ZS-SJU and ZS-JRK, in honour of our sponsorship of the Springboks.

I can hardly believe that 2018 is already half gone, and that summer is fast approaching. I would like to remind you that summer, especially December, is a peak traveling period and that seats tend to sell out fast.
Waiting to make a booking always works against customers. Not only do flights sell out, but ticket prices tend to rise quickly due to the higher demand during these periods. If you are already busy planning your December holiday, I urge you to book your holiday flights as soon as possible in order to secure the best fares.
