• The crew this season consisted of 171 experience­d Filipino crew working alongside 113 South Africans. • The 10 boats which transporte­d the crew, equipment and challenge materials around used 720 l of fuel each day, for 42 days. • The crew collective­ly consumed 600 cups of coffee a day. • 426 flights were booked to ferry the castaways and crew between South Africa and the Philippine­s over the course of the show. • To build the tribal council set, the art department used: • 1,365 pieces of wood • 200 pieces of bamboo • 100 pieces of plywood • 800 m of rope •150 pieces of polystyren­e for the dragon and tigers. • To build the immunity and reward challenge games, the art department used: • 1,175 pieces of bamboo • 5,500 l of paint and 50 l of gold powder • 470 m of cloth.
