CEO LETTER

ELMAR CONRADIE

-

Welcome on board FlySafair, and thank you for choosing us for your journey today!

The holidays are just around the corner, and we are looking forward to welcoming holiday goers on our flights this December. 2020 has been a tough year for everyone, and the country’s economy has taken a significant blow.

Despite this, word from the accommodation sector is that bookings for December are looking strong. Having been forced to spend so much time at home during the winter months, it is not surprising that many people seem ready to wave their homes goodbye and get away for a well-deserved break.

As a result, we are expecting an increase in demand, and for flights to sell out quickly. We also expect the commercial airline industry to step up the number of flights for December, and this will hopefully push fares down a bit. At this time, our economy needs lots of affordable air access as a catalyst for recovery.

We started flying again on 15th June and have been able to continually add additional seats to the market as demand for flights increased, and continue to do so. We have welcomed two Boeing 737-800 Next-Generation aircraft to our fleet since June, and as of this month, we are thrilled to report that we will be operating at full capacity once again.

I would also like to take this opportunity to reiterate that it is imperative that we observe all health and safety protocols aboard aircraft and in the greater world. The simplest measure we can take is to all wear our masks. With fears of a second wave of infections, it is impor tant that we all do our par t to keep Covid-19 at bay.

As always, we would love to hear from you and how you experienced our service today. Please email us your comments at feedback@flysafair.co.za.

Safe travels Elmar Conradie
