Passenger Letters

-

Good afternoon, During the early days of the recent SAA strike, I arrived at O.R. Tambo Airport from Durban at about 12h30 to connect with the SA Express flight to Bloemfontein, when I discovered that the flight (SA1011) was delayed. Naturally, I assumed at first that it was due to the SAA strike. However, upon enquiry at the passenger services desk, I was politely told that it was a technical problem. Despite this, from that point onwards, the ground staff were nothing short of faultless in every respect.

When we eventually departed, the pilot and cabin crew were equally apologetic and extremely efficient and friendly. What is significant is that one may naturally assume – given SA Express’ recent challenges – that employee morale would be low. Yet, to the contrary: Every SA Express employee with whom I engaged on the day, displayed attitudes of highly engaged staff and the attributes of a high-performance culture.

I am duly impressed with Express! Kind regards, Peter Streng Congratulations to Peter Streng who wrote our winning letter this month, and walks away with a Samsonite PopSoda 55 cm spinner suitcase valued at R2,799.

Good morning, I was pleasantly surprised with my recent flight to Lubumbashi, from the ease of check-in to the quick boarding. One of the benefits of a smaller plane is definitely the easy on and off. But what really made my day and gives SA Express the 10/10 I will rate you, were the hot meals you offer. This was a huge treat and I was happy not to get the kind of cold snack option which your competitors serve on their flights.

I also want to give a big shout out to your friendly cabin crew!

Keep up the great service. You guys are the best. Kind regards, David Topper
