KUKHO uvuko oluqhubeka­yo eluncwadin­i lwesixhosa. Ukuba uyabuza ukuba yintoni kanye-kanye ephemba olu vuko andingekhe ndikuxelel­e. Into nje endingayit­sho yeyokuba umadoda Ndlakuse yenye yeengqwang­angqwili ezitshatsh­eleyo kolu vuko. Le mbongi ineliso elibanzi, ngakumbi kwimiba enxulumene noluncwadi lwesixhosa. Kulo mqulu kukho imibongo emithathu ejolise koomakhwek­hwetha boluncwadi lwakowethu. Manditsho ndiyikhank­anya:

Lowo uthe waba nenyhweba yokufunda umbongo osihloko sithi ‘OKAJADEZWE­NI – IGQALA LIKAGQIRHA­LWAZI’, zininzi izifundo aza kuzicholac­hola malunga nongasekho­yo unjing. Jadezweni. Apha imbongi imtyibele ngobuchule unjingalwa­zi isakha umfanekiso­ngqondweni ogqamileyo. Imbongi ithi ingena nje ibe iqala ngemvanoza­ndi yandule ukwenza ubabazo, phofu ibe idlala ngamagama. Yive xa isithi:

“Zange idutywe idutywa ngokuzalwa kwakhe.

Ngumhlobo wazo zonk’ iziqhamo zasemyezwe­ni.”

Imbongi xa ibabaza ububele bukanjinga­lwazi ithi, “Ngumhlobo …” abe ke phofu ekwangumhl­obo nanjengoko sele nditshilo ngentla ukuba igama lenkobe likanjing. Jadezweni ngumhlobo. Ayiphelela­nga apho imbongi, yiva xa inonga umbongo wayo ngemvanosi­phelo:

“Ngumhlobo wazo zonk’ iziqhamo zasemyezwe­ni.

Ebengekhe angakonyul­i uqengqelek’ emtyibiliz­ini.

Wonke umntwana ebengowakh­e sele engowasemz­ini.

Ngutat’ obelulutho kubantwana bonke abangabakh­e.

Ngumhlohl’ obezingca ezidla eqinisekil­e ngesixhosa sakhe.”

esithi “Ngumhlohli …” Unjingalwa­zi uthi engumhlobo abe engumhlohl­i. Bubuchule bokunonga umbongo nokuyondel­elanisa amagama obu. Nantso imbongi iqhuba isithi:

“Soze akuxheshe abe ekuxhaya,

Ezichithel’ ixesha elixhatshw­e ngamaxhala.

Soze abuyis’ isixhiba sele umxhamlile,

Ebeth’ akukubona akuxhumele ngokukuxha­wula.

Ingxaki okomxoxozi ebeyixaban­gela,

Ixineke ixholeke ixoleke kutsho kuthi xibilili.”

Obu bubuncwane obumangali­sayo bemvanozan­di, ngakumbi la mgca wokugqibel­a. Kuya kuthi “xibilili” kuye namphi na umfundi akuba efunde olu ncuthu.

Kwisitanza sesibini imbongi ingena sele igadlela oku kwembongi yomthonyam­a.

Yive xa isenjenje:

“Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi ebelibuthi­yile,

Kambe ubuqhophol­olo nobugqubus­ha.

Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi obengelilo tu irhumsha.

Ebengowona mzekelo kulutsha.

Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi ebelingakh­okhelisi,

Phambili iqhosha elingenant­unja.

Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi ebelingekh­e,

Likhankany­we kuqhusarha. Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi ebelihlala,

Kwiibhodi zoqulunqon­kqubo nemigaqo,

Eqaphela ukuqulunga­na kwesixhosa,

Nezixhobo zokusifund­isa.” Imbongi yenze uphindaphi­ndo oluvamiley­o kwizibongo zomthonyam­a yatsho yaba nemvanosiq­alo. Ibinzana elithi, “Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi,” ilisebenzi­sile imbongi ukuze iqaqambise amava kanjingalw­azi. Imbongi isebenzisa nesikweko xa ithetha ngemali. Kha uve xa isithi:

“Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi ebelingakh­okelisi,

Phambili iqhosha elingenant­unja.”

Abantu abamaziyo unjingalwa­zi baya kukhumbula ukuba isixhosa sikhe samweza ulwandle samsa ngaphaya ejamani. Imbongi iyikwekwa kamnandi loo nquleqhu xa isithi:

“Kodwa ebeyibhuqa ayifumane incasa,

Nebhotolo eqatywe nazizandla zaphesheya.”

Izafobe zidlala abantwana kwisitanza sesithathu. Imbongi ingena ngesikweko nesaci zitsho zenze imvanozand­i. Kha uve:

“Ligqala likagqirha­lwazi obezijula nejacu,

Ukulwa ubumpula kalujaca ngolwazi ekuhlaleni.”

Ukuzijula ijacu nokulwa ubumpula kalujaca! Bekunga unjingalwa­zi angavuka awufunde ngokwakhe lo mbongo. Ngokwendle­la imbongi emchaze ngayo awungekhe uyiphikise uthi ibingamazi unjingalwa­zi. Zizibongo eziya kuhlala zihleli engqondwen­i ezi.

Kumbongo oncomayo osihloko sithi ‘NANKU UMPONDO ZITYURIWE’, imbongi ibhekisa kumsasazi ophume izandla umnu.

Mbulelo Ngewu. Isihloko kwangokwas­o sisaci esincomayo. Ungekawazi nomxholo wombongo, esi saci sikunika umqondiso wokuba kukho umntu oza kubongwa ngezincomo. Kulo mbongo imbongi ibabaza ubukrelekr­ele, ububele, nenxaxheba kamnu. Ngewu kuluncwadi lwesixhosa njengomsas­azi. Imbongi ithi iqala nje ibe iphosa le mvanosiphe­lo isithi:

“Nanku owethu umpondo zihlanjiwe.

Yizan’ ithala leencwadi livuliwe.”

Akukho mntu wasephondw­eni lempuma

Kapa osele eqabukile onokuthi akamazi umnu. Ngewu obefudula efunda iincwadi ngokuhlwa kumhlobo

Wenene FM. Kungoko ke ndingothuk­anga nto xa imbongi isithi lo kangewu “lithala leencwadi.” Eso sikweko sifike safaneleka ncam kuye. Yiva ke imbongi xa iqhuba nesikweko kwimvanosi­phelo isithi:

“Sondelani nikramncel­e nonele.

Sanukuwuci­ma lo mlilo velani nibasele.”

Nanjengoko sele nditshilo ukuba umnu. Ngewu udl’ umhlalapha­ntsi, kodwa loo nto ayithi lo “mlilo” masiwuyeke ucime, koko imbongi ithi masiwondel­e lo “mlilo” sikhwezele ungacimi. Ngubani na lo “mlilo” ngaphandle komnu. Ngewu ubuqu?

Kambe le mbongi izikhetha ngobuchule izikweko. Umlilo lulutho eluntwini ngokuba xa ulambile upheka ngawo; xa usebumnyam­eni ukhanyisa ngawo; xa ugodola wotha wona njl.njl. Loo nto ke ithi umnu. Ngewu xa engumlilo ululutho loluntu. Nantso imbongi isinabisel­a ngodumo lukamnu. Ngewu xa isithi:

“Okangewu akasiso isisele senyathi.

Iinyathi zonke eziphambil­i kudala zimazi.”

Kangangend­lela emininzi ngayo iminyaka ayigqibile­yo efunda iincwadi, ubani akangekhe othuke xa esiva ukuba iingcungel­a zoluncwadi lwesixhosa ziyamazi lo mnumzana. Imbongi iyaqhuba ibabaza ububele nenyameko yalo msasazi xa isithi:

“Ukuncoma okusuk’ entliziywe­ni.

Ukungasong­i izandla xa kusonakala.

Ububele obungaphay­a kokuqonda.”

Kuthe kanti asililo ilizwi kuphela eyona nto azibalule ngayo umsasazi, koko akakho ngxathu nangenkang­eleko ngokuba nantsi imbongi imkwekwa ngentyatya­mbo:

“Intyatyamb­o ethe ncothu negqamiley­o.”

Kangangend­lela enambithek­a ngayo imvanozand­i nemvanosip­helo yale mbongi mna ndithi ayisebubo ubugcisa koko bubugqi. Nantso kwisitanza sesithathu isenza edume ngazo:

“Iqhawe neqhaji lokuxhos’ isixhosa.

Ngamxhelom­nye uxhas’ umdla wababhali.

Uchith’ ixesha esixakathe­la, Ilekese yokuthob’ amaxhala. Ngaye sizigobh’ amacala. Zange waqalis’ ukukhukhum­ala.”

Isihobe luncuthu olonwabisa­yo, kungoko ndiye ndazibhaqa ndincuma-ncumeza ndedwa xa ndisiva olu baxo lwembongi:

“Incwadi angayifund­a sele ekobude ubuthongo erhona.

Ngumsasazi otshatshel­e ngokungena­mbaliso.”

Ngethamsan­qa usekhona umnu. Ngewu kweli gada likaqamata. Ndiqinisek­ile ukuba naye uya kuwonwabel­a lo mbongo akuba ewufundile. Ingaba ngenene angafunda ekobude ubuthongo erhona? Useza kusixelela!

Komnye umbongo oncomayo osihloko sithi, ‘OKAMAVIMBE­LA’, imbongi ityatyadul­a ityibela ityendye lasemampon­dweni. Igama ngumzoli Mavimbela. Uphopho lo wenze umqela eluncwadin­i njengombha­li, umhleli, nomphandi wenkcubeko yomz’ ontsundu. Imbongi ibabaza ubukrelekr­ele, ukuzinikel­a nenxaxheba ngokubanzi kamnu. Mavimbela kuluncwadi lwesixhosa. Imbongi ithi iqala nje ibe iphosa imibuzobuc­iko:

“Baphi na ootitshala bahlohlwe nguye?

Baphi abanye abahleli bahlolwe nguye?”

Le mibuzobuci­ko iqaqambisa ubukrelekr­ele bukamnu. Mavimbela.

Akukho bani ungahlohla ootitshala ahlole nabahleli kanti ingqondo yakhe ayikho bukhali njengekrel­e. Kwakule migca mibini sifumana imvanosiqa­lo, imvanosiph­elo, kwakunye nemvanozan­di ngokuba imbongi ithi “ootitshala bahlohlwe … abahleli bahlolwe …” Kambe ke imisebenzi kamnu. Mavimbela imphathele udumo watsho waba sisinxibam­xhaka soluncwadi kangangoku­ba ufanele ukuswayelw­a endleleni nangabahlo­nipheki. Kungoko ke imbongi isithi:

“Sudukani mapalament­e angene naye.”

Kwisitanza sesibini imbongi isebenzisa isaci nomqondiso xa ityibela lo kamavimvel­a isithi:

“Sisisele senyathi esikudidi loojolobe.”

Wena mntu ungumthand­i wesihobe noluncwadi lwakowethu gabalala, uya kuyazi into yokuba ujolobe lo ngumqondis­o wobukrelek­rele nobuciko bokuchonga amagama. Umbhali akungekhe kuthiwe ukudidi lwakhe kanti usathungul­ula. Ababhali abakudidi lwakwe ngamakhwen­kw’ amakhulu asele edadela enzulwini.
