Tokyo Sexwale may not have earned CAF votes in the road to the Fifa presidential elections, but it is clear that Mzansi football officials are a valuable asset to the CAF. The final of the Chan between the DR Congo and Mali was officiated by outstanding South African referee Daniel Bennett – that happened a few days after Sexwale announced the loss of votes from CAF. I do not believe that CAF discriminated against Sexwale. Also, the decision was not based on the understanding of the French language as some soccer fanatics suggested. Sexwale has strong leadership qualities and his political background appeals to the followers of the game of millions. But from my perspective, Sexwale could have been deprived of the CAF vote by not having a soccer constituency. I do not want to predict the results. To me the future looks bright for him in football. His political accumen will drive him to greener pastures. Soccer fans need football leaders who possesses such a character. Godfrey Sigwela, Port Elizabeth the top two in the past three seasons. The problem is Chiefs prefers out of contract players. I think Amakhosi should sign two solid defenders, two quality attacking midfielders and a deadly striker. They wasted millions on players like Bukenya, Zulu, Karuru, Matovu, Mphela, Rusike and Mthembu. Players like Thabiso Kutumela,
