Themba Zwane was rewarded with a new VW Golf GTi in May from the VW Baron’s Woodmead dealership and named a brand ambassador for Volkswagen for the next two years. It is the player’s first personal vehicle endorsement.
How does it feel to be sponsored by Volkswagen?
I’m very happy because VW is my favourite car. I’m happy and it shows that if you work hard, you will be rewarded. There are people who are looking at what you’re doing and how you conduct yourself both on and off the field. I have to take care of the vehicle they gave me. It has helped me a lot in taking me to training and going to see my family at home. I’m very happy.
