Kurt Abrahams

Kick Off - - INSIDE -

The young South African starlet is set for the bigtime as he continues to impress in Belgium

Benni McCarthy was the assistant coach at Sint-Truiden when Abrahams trialled and was eventually signed, with the now Cape Town City head coach predicting a bright future for the young South African starlet. “Kurt is a class boy – a very good player, and very humble,” McCarthy says. “He has fantastic ability and good qualities, and I’m very happy to see him getting his opportunity and his chance. He is very strong and has a great mentality, is very positive, and it doesn’t surprise me at all that he’s part of the first team now, even though he is on the bench most games, but he’s slowly getting his opportunity now and then. But he’s gaining experience and I’m very happy to see his career on the rise. “Hopefully he continues to grow and does well. He is still a young boy, and hopefully we’ll see him capped at junior national team level soon.”
