CELTIC’S 12TH MAN

-

It’s well known in South African football circles that Bloemfontein Celtic is one of the mostsupported clubs in the country, and Sam admits when the team went 2-0 down against Kaizer Chiefs, it was the supporters’ voices that helped turn things around. “When we were trailing 2-0 to Chiefs, I looked at the stands and they were all still singing while we were losing,” he says. “It was emotional to see and that gave us the power to come back. Playing for this team is a big deal; our supporters don’t only support us when we are winning, but they support us no matter what.”
