Happy, happy, hurray!

This is the mood in Limpopo Province at the moment after what Baroka Football Club did in the Eastern Cape on the 8th of December 2018. This is the day that new history was written … football is indeed a dirty game and of course it can “kill you”, like former Baroka coach Kgoloko Thobejane used to say. But on behalf of Bakgaga Ba Ga-Mphahlele and the community of Maralaleng, I would like to take this opportunity to offer my congratulations to Baroka FC for their achievement. The whole province is so proud of you, especially the Mphahlele community at large … you only needed three seasons to lift one of the major trophies in the elite league. I remember while the team was in its first season in the National First Division, chairman Khurishi Mphahlele said only three seasons would be enough for the team in that league and now it’s happened: the PSL’s Telkom Knockout Cup is in Limpopo!
