Fernando Hierro

I only met him towards the latter stages of his career at Bolton Wanderers, but he was such a great leader and had a strong character. He was a great guy on and off the pitch.

Daniel Amokachi

Daniel was one of my very good friends in the Nigerian team. He was quite similar to Yeboah and it was tricky to put the one above the other. He was also very strong and good on the ball, just not as strong in the air as Yeboah.

Nicolas Anelka

He was a very, very quick player and a brilliant finisher for us at Bolton. He had a very good technique and has to be in my team.

Nwankwo Kanu

He was a really tall guy with amazing skills. He had a great football sense and was a superb team player for the Super Eagles.

Youri Djorkaeff

I also only played with him at Bolton when he was older, but I could still see, in every training session and in every game, what an amazing player he was. He had an amazing skillset on the ball and I was always very impressed with him when he had the ball at his feet.
