Coach: Dragoslav Stepanovic

“Steppi” was my first coach at Eintracht Frankfurt. I remember he always said “Lebe geht weiter” (life goes on). He meant you needed to keep on going, that you should never give up. There won’t always be good days, as there are also bad days, but you just have to go on. This slogan has always helped me throughout my career, particularly after bad games. The coach gave me the confidence to keep doing what I liked most and that helped me to develop into a world-class player. He made me a star on the biggest stage and was an inspiration to me as a young guy. I’m very appreciative of what he did for me and I’m always happy to see him.
