STAR LETTER

RIP Motjeka Madisha

-

The South African football fraternity is once again under a dark cloud after the death of Mamelodi Sundowns’ young and a very promising defender Motjeka Madisha in a car accident on Zuurfontein road in Chloorkop, Ekurhuleni.

It is indeed very sad to lose such young lives, not only in football but the country at large. In November it was a former Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca, who also lost his life in a car accident in Kwa Zulu Natal. Madisha was one of our promising young talents, but unfortunately death came in between and destroyed everything we were looking forward to.

Such incidents take us back to those years whereby in football we’ve lost those other promising young talents such as Lesley Manyathela, Gift

Leremi and Senzo Meyiwa … the list is endless. The question is, will we ever be healed, will our wounds ever stop itching?

The nation is in tears, but hopefully we’ll all find it in our hearts that death has happened and Madisha is no longer with us.

On behalf of the community of Maralaleng village, Mphahlele authority and most of all, the South African football fanatics, I send our heartfelt condolences to Madisha family, Mamelodi Sundowns and his friends. May his precious soul rest in eternal peace.

Letladi wa Ga-Mphahlele, Maralaleng
