Highest scoring finals

Lamontville Golden Arrows’ 6-0 thumping of Ajax Cape TownT in the MTN8 final of 2009 is the largest winning margin in a South African cup final in the multi-racial era.

The one-sided result, engineered by coach Manqoba Mngqnithi and with Njabulo Manqana scoring twice, is one goal better than the 5-0 win that Kaizer Chiefs enjoyed jy over Jomo

But the biggest cup final win in the history of South African professional soccer came in 1974 when Orlando Pirates beat second division Manchester City of Mabopane 9-1 in the second leg of the decider of the Champion of Champions.

Pirates had been held to a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Mamelodi.
