Sundowns-Pitso saga

-

After representing themselves very well in the DStv Premiership, it’s a pity that Mamelodi Sundowns was knocked out of the CAF Champions League. It was just unfortunate that they were tossed against Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly and Pitso knows all their tactics.

That made things easier for Al Ahly to progress, just like they did, but losing is part of football and one needs to accept that. I’m a die-hard Kaizer Chiefs fan. Though we’re through to the semifinals, I still can’t understand how we got this far.

Our performances have never been impressive and we’ve reached the dying stages of the CAF Champions League. Of all the games we played, I’ve never had

confident that we may win even one, but to my surprise, here we are in the last four. Will Lady Luck on our side up to the finals, will we make it against Wydad Casablanca. Will this lady luck help us lift the Champions League title?

Wydad Casablanca have punished us in the group stages, but hopefully this time around our boys will pull up their socks and put their concentration on the game.

Our final position on the log is a clear sign that we’ve haven’t performed well this season. So, it is amazing that our domestic form didn’t affect our progress in the Champions League.
