BAROKA HAS THE RIGHT LEADER

-

Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele seems to be one of those who doesn’t hesitate to bring new and inexperienced players into his team. His intentions are obviously to groom the young ones to become household names. He just signed six players from the lower divisions of South African football and promoted two from his development team.

At first he seemed to be clueless about football, but I can see he’s opened his eyes and is going the right direction.

He’s that kind of a manager who takes some risks about the team that he has invested so much in. He first took a risk in appointing Kgoloko Thobejane as a head coach and now he has just appointed Matsimela Thoka.

Both coaches have never played professional football but to Mr Mphahlele that meant nothing, charity begins at home and thank you very much for that.

That is a very clear sign that talent is not something you can go and buy at any of the biggest supermarkets.

It is indeed a risk to do that in the elite league,
