Moneeb Josephs

Moneeb, my ex-teammate at Ajax Cape Town, was full of life and always had that energy. There was never a dull moment with him. He was fun goalkeeper to play with.

Tsepo Masilela

When I was at Benoni Premier United, Tsepo was an up-and-coming youngster. I took Tsepo to [agent] Mike Makaab because I could see the potential and the future, even though he was raw.

Sipho Nunes

I played with Sipho at Sundowns – he was a gifted player but troublesome. At one stage I sat him down and spoke to him about him about the way he was around coaches. He could not absorb all the things people were saying about him. That was talent that went down the drain.

Japhet Zwane

I met Japhet at Manning Rangers after he joined us from a club called Phoenix. He was speedy and could deliver great crosses for strikers. When he went overseas I never expected that, I thought he had outdone himself. But he had a big heart and was not scared of playing against anyone. He was always eager to win and a team player.

Solo Ndimande

Solo was such a nippy player, you wouldn’t even notice him on the field but he would come with an element of surprise. He had a football brain – a very intelligent player.
