DEALING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA CRITICISM
In an era where cyberspace has become a free-for-all, the subject of social media influences can never be ignored.
Mandla Ncikazi knows all too well about this space, which has left some players on their knees, while exposing others for their shenanigans.
“In my playing days there was a coach that used to take cellphones and put them in a basket a day before the match,” says Ncikazi. “Now times have changed, we can just only make players aware of the dangers of being on social media. We can do so much but they have to take responsibility as professionals and hope whatever happens on social media doesn’t affect the performance on match day.”
