Fagrie Lakay says his favourite goal was actually a brace of strikes for the national Under-20 side in a crucial qualifier that got his team to the 2015 African Under-20 Championship.

Lakay got both goals as South Africa triumphed 2-1 against Cameroon and booked their place in the continental finals. “We played in the Under-20 qualifiers and were up against Cameroon at the Dobsonville Stadium. We needed to win that game for us to qualify to the next round,” Lakay says.

“I scored a brace in that game, it was a special moment for me and something I won’t forget, because those were very important goals for the country.”
