Kick Off

Substitutes

-

Itumeleng Khune

Khune is one of the best goalkeepers this country has ever seen. He can make great saves and has a great distribution.

Tlou Molekwane

Tlou was one of our best rightbacks but never got a chance to play. Competing with Jimmy Tau, it was hard for him to get a chance, but Tlou was the best.

Thapelo Tshilo

I knew Thapelo from the development and he is a warrior and was passionate to play. He was strong, hard and always reliable.

Saidi Ntibazonkiza

I think Saidi is the best player to have played for Burundi. We called him ‘ The Lion’, he was a hard-working player who could never disappoint you. He did everything for his teammates, he was short but fought with players who were taller than him. He played in Turkey and France.

Knowledge Musona

I pick Knowledge because he is a player who can make things happen in small spaces. He doesn’t talk a lot and does his job well.

Coach: Muhsin Ertugral

Muhsin is the best coach I have ever worked with – he is a great person as well. People only talk about his temper when a match was on, but I learned so much from Muhsin. In Belgium I worked with seven coaches, all European coaches, but none of them were better than Muhsin.
