Avril Phali

Avril was great and a very courageous goalkeeper. I liked him because he helped us a lot.

Elias Pelembe

We had ‘Dominguez’ in the national team and he was amazing even though he was still very young. Every time we played, we gave the ball to him and he dribble players. The crowd would go crazy!

Benjani Mwaruwari

I played with Benjamin at Cosmos for a short period of time, but he made a great impact. He was a strong and powerful, and scored a lot of goals. He was always someone that we could rely on.

Daine Klate

Daine was amazing, a very skinny player but he had a deadly left foot. He combined well with the late Richard Rantjie.

Essau Kanyenda

Essau was a very lazy player at training but when it came to matches, he would play his best football. He did not want to train and when you saw him there you would undermine him, but in matches you would see a different player.

Luis Parraque

The late Luis – we grew up in the same street in Mozambique, but he was a bit older than me. We played together in the national team, and he was a very technical player. He was not a strong tackler but was very quick.

Sipho Sephadi

Sipho was a very good player and very underrated. He had a strong work rate and understood all my runs. He knew where to put the ball because he understood me very well. I enjoyed playing with him at Cosmos.
