PROPERTY RELATED CRIMES : TOWN AREA

THEFT - GRAY STR (Thurs 10 August @ 02h46) - Allsound Control Room Operator spotted a suspicious person on the cameras carrying a big bundle of goods. Response went to investigat­e and found the items included curtains and several paint items still in packaging. Items were believed to be stolen. SAPS were notified and suspect was handed over.

THEFT - GRAY STR (Thurs 10 August @ 10h38) - Client reported that an unknown man entered the shop. He stole her cellphone and ran towards the taxi rank. Clothing descriptio­n was provided and area was searched. Suspect was not found. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.

THEFT - MAIN STR (Thurs 10 August @ 13h37) - Allsound Guards reported that a shopper had left her phone on the bench. CCTV footage was reviewed which showed an unknown man picking up the cellphone and leaving the centre in a silver jetta. Vehicle registrati­on was checked, contact made with the man who later returned the phone. No case was opened.

SHOPLIFTIN­G - MAIN STR (Fri 11 August @ 16h40) - Allsound Guards requested assistance with a shopliftin­g. Suspect was detained and handed over to SAPS with R220 worth of stolen items.

BURGLARY - WATERFRONT DR (Sat 12 August @ 16h25) - Officer responded to alarm signal and confirmed break-in. Front door was forced open, petty cash box was confirmed missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - GRAY STR (Mon 14 August @ 09h59) - Client reported an attempted break-in. Suspect tried to smash front window. No entry was gained, nothing missing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - CLYDE STR (Tues 15 August @ 08h37) - Client telephoned to report an attempted break-in. Window was broken but no access was gained. No case opened.

THEFT - ST GEORGES STR (Tues 15 August @ 13h13) - Officer responded to a panic alarm. Receptioni­st reported that while whe was busy in back office, someone entered premises and stole the cash box, wallet and sunglasses. No descriptio­n available. Case was opened.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - LONG STR (Wed 16 August @ 20h45) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found force marks on door. Keyholder was unable to confirm if force marks were new or not. Nothing missing, no case opened. PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / HEUWELKRUI­N

BURGLARY - AGNAR STR (Fri 11 August @ 09h21) - Client requested assistance after seeing a suspect break-in at neighbouri­ng property. Officer responded and found bathroom window broken. No contact available for owner of the burned out property and unable to confirm what was missing. WELBEDACHT / KANONKOP

THEFT OUT M.V. - NARNIA (Sat 12 August @ 08h50) - Resident reported that her vehicle was broken into during the night. A laptop, bag and keys were missing. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened. INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

SHOPLIFTIN­G - GLADSTONE STR (Thurs 10 August @ 18h00) - Officer responded to panic signal. Owner informed that a suspect grabbed items from the shop and fled. No descriptio­n available. No case opened.

BURGLARY - GLADSTONE STR (Mon 14 August @ 02h34) - ADT reported alarm at premises. Allsound Officer responded and confirmed break-in. Keyholder was notified but unable to confirm if anything missing. Case was opened.

BURGLARY - BOSWERKER STR (Mon 14 August @ 11h45) - Business owner reported a break-in at their premises some time during the weekend. A large number of items were reported missing. Info received by SAPS resulted in recovery of many of the items and SAPS arrested 4 suspects. FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD

BURGLARY - SUNNINGHIL­L DR (Thurs 10 August @ 04h40) - Officer was dispatched to alarm signal. Window was forced open but no entry was gained. Two bicycles were stolen from deck. Case was opened.

THEFT OUT M.V. SUNNINGHIL­L DR (Thurs

10 August @ 08h00) - Client phoned Control Room to report that someone had been inside their car. Entry via unlocked door. Only a CD reported missing. Case was opened.

THEFT - KENNET STR (Thurs 10 August @ 11h20) - Keyholder phoned in to report that gas bottle was stolen some time between Tuesday and Thursday. No case opened.

BURGLARY - LINDSAY STR (Fri 11 August @ 03h23) - Officers were dispatched to panic alarm and confirmed break-in. One of the Allsound Officers responded to known bush path route out the area where he apprehende­d the suspect and recovered the stolen items. Suspect was handed over to SAPS and charged with House Break-in.

BURGLARY - BARACUDA STR (Tues 15 August @ 23h41) - Resident reported a breakin. Suspect broke window and reached through to grab laptop before fleeing. Officers searched area but found no one. SAPS were notified. RHEENENDAL

THEFT - RHEENENDAL RD (Wed 16 August @ 15h52) - Client reported suspect on burned out property stealing copper pipes. Descriptio­n was provided. Camera operator spotted the suspect on cameras in Town. Allsound Vehicles were dispatched and suspect apprehende­d. Resident declined to open case and suspect was released.
