PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS: TOWN AREA

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - GRAY STR (Thurs 1 February @ 08h34) - Client reported an attempted break-in at business premises. Force marks were found on the sliding door. No entry was gained, nothing stolen.

COMMON ROBBERY - MAIN STR (Thurs 1 January @ 14h48) - Our vehicle was flagged down by victim reporting that they were robbed. Suspect reportedly fled towards the taxi rank but was ID’d by a witness. Case was opened. SHOPLFTING - ST GEORGES STR (Fri 2 February @ 17h17) - Client requested assistance after they caught a suspect shopliftin­g. Suspect was taken to SAPS and case was opened. THEFT - MAIN STR (Mon 5 February @ 15h02) - Gentleman telephoned to report that 2 suspects were caught on the property. They were found in possession of scrap metal taken from the property. SAPS were notified, case was opened and both men charged with Theft.

PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / WESTHILL

BURGLARY - ERICA STR (Wed 7 February @ 15h31) - Officer was dispatched to property. On route to premises, he saw someone running with another in pursuit. Officer apprehende­d the fleeing man who had broken in at the property in Erica Street. Stolen items were recovered and suspect was charged.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

BURGLARY - GLADSTONE STR (Fri 2 February @ 05h29) - ADT reported an alarm triggering from school building. Officers responded and confirmed positive break-in. Window and burglar bars were forced. A computer screen was missing but was recovered at the back of the building.

LEISURE ISLAND

BURGLARY - GEORGE AVE (Fri 2 February @ 10h10) - Resident reported that a suspect had climbed through open window while she was in the house. Her tablet and cellphone were stolen. Surroundin­g area was searched but no one was found.

RHEENENDAL / PHANTOM RIVER

BURGLARY - PHANTOM RIVER PASS (Sat 3 February @ 20h24) - Client activated the panic after suspect was seen at her back door. Suspect fled when siren triggered. Area was searched but no one was found.

BURGLARY - PHANTOM RIVER PASS (Sat 3 February @ 23h30) - ADT reported that there was an intruder in the house. Officers responded and spoke to owner who confirmed that when they arrived home, there was a suspect inside the house. No forced entry was found, owner confirmed that nothing was missing.

BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON

THEFT - BRENTON RD (Wed 7 February @ 12h30) - Allsound Response Officer found a known suspect in the area. Suspect was carrying a large bag containing scrap metal presumed stolen from burn sites. Owner of property and SAPS members declined to open a case. Suspect was removed from area.
