Theft out of motor vehicles is again on the increase. Please ensure you leave nothing in your vehicles and, where possible, park in a locked and alarmed garage

PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS: TOWN AREA

COMMON ROBBERY - ST GEORGES ST (Sat 7 April @ 02h49) – Allsound Officer reported that a young man was robbed while walking home. Suspects stole a cellphone, wallet and keys. No descriptio­n available.

THEFT - MAIN RD (Sat 7 April @ 22h54) – Our Control Room received a report that a handbag was stolen from business premises. Clothing descriptio­n was supplied and officer searched. Suspect was not found.

THEFT OUT OF M.V. - MAIN RD (Mon 9 April @ 22h30) - SAPS requested assistance with CCTV footage following a vehicle break-in. Suspect descriptio­n was provided from CCTV footage and suspect was later arrested and charged.

THEFT - NELSON ST (Tues 10 April @ 17h45) - Allsound Officer spotted a well-known suspect carrying possible stolen items. Suspect was questioned and unable to explain why he had the items or how he got them. Suspect was handed over to SAPS for possession of suspected stolen goods. *** VISIT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE ***

ATTEMPTED THEFT - BOND ST (Wed 11 April @ 10h04) - Client reported suspects trying to steal roof sheets from vacant property. Officers responded but suspect fled into bushes. No case was opened and nothing reported missing.

KNYSNA HEIGHTS/ PARADISE / HEUWELKRUI­N

THEFT - PROTEA ST (Thurs 5 April @ 12h06) - Resident reported a suspect in neighbouri­ng property. Allsound Officer apprehende­d a known suspect fleeing the property. Suspect had stolen washing from line. Owner declined to open a case and suspect was released. BURGLARY - CIRCULAR DR (Mon 9 April @ 09h28) - Client reported a break-in at one of the guest units during the night. Entry was gained via unlocked sliding door. Guest reported that Camera equipment and a cellphone were missing. Case was opened.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

BURGLARY - DAVIDSON ST (Mon 9 April @ 02h50) – Officer responded to alarm signal and reported hole found in the ceiling. No suspect found on property. Keyholder was notified and a case was opened.

BELVIDERE

THEFT - CURRY CLOSE (Sun 8 April @ 08h40) - Client phoned to report that his iPhone was stolen through open window sometime during the night. No further informatio­n was available and no case was opened.
