- PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:

TOWN AREA

ATTMEPTED THEFT - MARKET STR (Thurs 31 May @ 14h36) – Client activated the panic after 2 juveniles tried to snatch a purse. One of the youngsters were caught, the other fled. No case was opened.

ATTEMPTED THEFT - GORDON ST (Sun 3 June @ 15h20) – Resident phoned to report that someone was busy stealing items. Officers responded and found a man loading pallets. Owner of business was notified and items were recovered and secured.

THEFT OUT M.V. - TIDE ST (Wed 6 June @ 11h06) - Client phoned to report that their vehicle was broken into during the night, car radio was stolen. No case was opened.

SHOPLIFTIN­G - NELSON ST (Wed 6 June @ 15h42) - Client activated the panic for a shopliftin­g suspect. Numerous items were recovered. Suspect was handed over to SAPS.

OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA

ATTEMPTED THEFT OUT OF M.V. - CURLEW ST (Tues 5 June @ 03h37) Resident requested assistance when he saw a suspect trying to steal a radio from parked vehicle. Suspect fled and owner secured the vehicle.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - MEEU ST (Sat 2 June @ 17h41) – Officer responded to alarm and found door unlocked. Keyholder confirmed that padlock was cut off, nothing visibly missing from the premises. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY HADEDA ST (Sat 2 June @ 17h49) Alarm signal was received from premises, Officer reported that door was open. Keyholder was notified and confirmed that the padlock was missing. Nothing appeared to missing. No case was opened.

HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD / FISHER HAVEN

BURGLARY - LINDSAY ST (Sun 3 June @ 12h37) - Officer responded to alarm signal and apprehende­d a suspect inside the outside storeroom. Numerous items were packed ready to take. Keyholder opened a case and suspect was handed over to SAPS. BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON ATTEMPTED THEFT - DOLPHIN AVE (Fri 1 June @ 10h44) - Client phoned in to report an intruder on property trying to steal copper pipes. Suspect fled when disturbed. Officers responded and searched the surrounds. Suspect was not found.
