THEFT OUT M.V. - QUEEN ST (T­hurs 28 Ju­ne @ 07h23) – C­lient re­por­ted that their vehi­cle was bro­ken in­to du­ring the nig­ht. Bags of clo­thing we­re re­por­ted mis­sing. Ca­se was o­pe­ned with SAPS. COMMON ROBBERY - HEDGE ST (T­hurs 28 Ju­ne @ 11h32) – C­lient te­lep­ho­ned re­que­s­ting as­sis­tan­ce af­ter a pe­de­stri­an was at­tac­ked out­si­de their pre­mi­ses and sus­pect tried to ste­al the young la­dies hand­bag. Of­fi­cers re­spon­ded and sus­pect was ap­pre­hen­ded a short dis­tan­ce a­way. Ca­se was o­pe­ned and sus­pect was han­ded o­ver to SAPS. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY NEWTON ST (T­hurs 28 Ju­ne @ 13h47) - C­lient pho­ned our con­t­rol room to re­port that so­meo­ne just tried to bre­ak in but ran off w­hen the te­nant dis­tur­bed them. No­thing sto­len.

THEFT - TROTTER ST (Fri 29 Ju­ne @ 12h26) - S­tall hol­der re­por­ted that 3 pairs of sung­las­ses we­re shop­lif­ted. No in­for­ma­ti­on a­vai­la­ble on pos­si­ble sus­pects or ti­me of theft. No ca­se was o­pe­ned. THEFT OUT M.V. - WATERFRONT DR (Fri 29 Ju­ne @ 21h09) - Mo­to­rist re­por­ted that a cel­lp­ho­ne, jac­ket and lap­top we­re sto­len from his o­pen vehi­cle. Wit­nes­ses re­por­ted seeing 4 yout­hs run­ning from the area. Of­fi­cers se­ar­ched lo­wer town, no ar­res­ts ma­de.

COMMON ROBBERY - GRA­HAM ST (Sat 30 Ju­ne @ 01h38) - C­lient acti­va­ted the pa­nic a­larm af­ter a guest was as­saul­ted and rob­bed of a cel­lp­ho­ne. Of­fi­cers re­spon­ded and 2 sus­pects we­re ap­pre­hen­ded. Cel­lp­ho­ne was re­co­ve­r­ed. Ca­se was o­pe­ned and sus­pects we­re han­ded o­ver to SAPS. THEFT - NEW ST (Sat 30 Ju­ne @ 19h40) - Bu­si­ness o­w­ner re­por­ted that pre­mi­ses keys we­re sto­len out of the front door. No sus­pect des­crip­ti­on was a­vai­la­ble. Locks­miths we­re no­ti­fied and as­sis­ted. BURGLARY - GRAY ST (Sun 1 Ju­ly @ 17h44) - Of­fi­cer re­spon­ded to a­larm sig­nal and re­por­ted sus­pect was s­till in­si­de the pre­mi­ses. Ad­di­ti­o­nal vehi­cles we­re dis­pa­t­ched and pe­ri­me­ter se­cu­red. Sus­pect was found in­si­de the shop with ap­prox­i­ma­te­ly R3000 worth of goods on him. Ca­se was o­pe­ned and sus­pect was char­ged.

THEFT FROM M.V. - GRAY ST (Mon 2 Ju­ly @ 04h15) - All­sound Of­fi­cer re­por­ted that 4 hu­bcaps we­re mis­sing from a vehi­cle. Vehi­cle be­lon­ged to gu­e­sts staying at ho­tel. No ca­se was o­pe­ned.

THEFT OUT OF M.V. - QUEEN ST (Tu­es 3 Ju­ly @ 20h24) - C­lient acti­va­ted the pa­nic a­larm af­ter sus­pect bro­ke in­to a gu­e­sts vehi­cle. Guest ga­ve cha­se and ap­pre­hen­ded the sus­pect (the sa­me sus­pect from Bu­si­ness Burglary 2 days be­fo­re). Sus­pect was de­tai­ned and han­ded o­ver to SAPS. A ca­se was o­pe­ned.

THEFT - VOORTREKKER ST (Wed 4 Ju­ly @ 13h07) - C­lient pho­ned to re­port that sus­pects we­re bu­sy ste­a­ling stuff on the neig­hbou­ring pro­per­ty. Sus­pect we­re ap­pre­hen­ded and found in pos­ses­si­on of door hand­les and ot­her scrap me­tal. SAPS we­re no­ti­fied. Af­ter no re­spon­se, sus­pects we­re re­le­a­sed. No ca­se was o­pe­ned. SHOPLIFTING - LONG ST (Wed

4 Ju­ly @ 15h02) - Of­fi­cer re­spon­ded to pa­nic a­larm. Key­hol­der re­por­ted that a man shop­lif­ted, but w­hen con­fron­ted he drop­ped the goods and left. No ar­res­ts ma­de.


BURGLARY SUNVALLEY DR (Fri 29 Ju­ne @ 03h50) - Of­fi­cer re­spon­ded to a­larm sig­nal and found ga­ra­ge door o­pen. O­w­ner re­por­ted seeing so­meo­ne run­ning from ga­ra­ge. No­thing vi­si­bly mis­sing.


THEFT - MEEU ST (Fri 29 Ju­ne @ 12h00) – Gent­le­man stop­ped our Re­spon­se Of­fi­cer to re­port that 2 men kno­wn to him, had sto­len a wel­der and tools from the pre­mi­ses. SAPS we­re no­ti­fied and a ca­se was o­pe­ned for furt­her in­ves­ti­ga­ti­on. BURGLARY - KHAYALETHU (Fri 29 Ju­ne @ 22h02) - C­lient re­por­ted a bre­ak-in. En­try was gai­ned via win­dow but no­thing vi­si­bly mis­sing from pro­per­ty. No ca­se o­pe­ned.

BURGLARY - SANDPIPER ST (Sun 1 Ju­ly @ 12h58) - Of­fi­cer re­spon­ded to a­larm and found win­dow bro­ken. Key­hol­der was no­ti­fied and con­fir­med no­thing mis­sing. No ca­se was o­pe­ned.


THEFT - N2 NEAR WELBEDACHT (T­hurs 28 Ju­ne @ 11h20) - C­lient re­por­ted that door hand­les and ot­her fix­tu­res we­re sto­len the pre­vi­ous day. CCTV foota­ge i­den­ti­fied the sus­pect. Sus­pect was seen in the area and All­sound Of­fi­cers re­spon­ded. Sus­pect was ap­pre­hen­ded and han­ded o­ver to SAPS.


THEFT - GRYSBOK ST (T­hurs, 28 Ju­ne @ 22h24) - Of­fi­cer re­spon­ded to a­larm sig­nal and found wa­ter pou­ring out pi­pes. Tap was sto­len off wall. Area was se­ar­ched but no sus­pects found. Wa­ter was tur­ned off. No ca­se was o­pe­ned.
