Young brai­ni­a­cs ex­cel

Fol­lo­wing the re­gi­o­nal S­cien­ce Fair held at NMU Ge­or­ge in Au­gust, eig­ht pro­jects from E­den Ka­roo Dis­trict we­re cho­sen to re­pre­sent the re­gi­on at the In­ter­na­ti­o­nal S­cien­ce Fair (ISF) in Jo­han­nes­burg be­t­ween 2 and 5 Oc­to­ber.

Not on­ly did all le­ar­ners from the a­rea do well in the va­ri­ous ca­te­go­ries – mo­re than 500 pro­jects from a­cross the coun­try – but three from Knys­na High School pro­du­ced two me­dals.

The­se young Knysna­ri­ans sho­wed their flair for s­cien­ce and stood out a­mong the ma­ny par­ti­ci­pants. Te­am In­geMaré Tal­mag­gies and Kay­dee Jan­tjies won bron­ze with their pro­ject, whi­le S­han­té S­try­dom broug­ht back a sil­ver.

"We con­g­ra­tu­la­te you – you ma­de us proud! And a hu­ge thank you to all who ga­ve them the ne­ces­sa­ry sup­port to a­chie­ve their go­als," said te­a­cher Ca­ro­li­ne B­re­dell. –
